Appliance Repair FAQs

What are your rates?

We don’t charge an hourly rate like a plumber or electrician. Instead, we use a national job rate guide which is a standard in the industry.  It is called “The Original Blue Book Major Appliance Job Rate Guide – Online Version”. This allows us to quote you an exact price, up front, after diagnosis, before any work is performed.

Our service charge is $125 plus tax for standard brands and $149 plus tax for premium brands. This includes our trip to your home and the diagnosis of your problem.  After the diagnosis is completed you will receive an exact price quote and that will be the final price.  If you decide to complete the repair the service charge is included as a component of that price, it’s already been factored in. The total price is calculated as service charge + parts + labor.

*High rise buildings, apartment complexes, large estates, boats, yachts and RV’s or any type of property that is difficult or time-consuming to access may have an additional surcharge. There may be an additional partial service charge for diagnosis or inspection of more than one appliance at the same location.

How does the job rate guide work?

The Online Blue Book is an extensive database of all the possible repairs that can be done on major appliances.  It takes into account a variety of factors such as parts, time and labor, special equipment, predictable and unpredictable circumstances surrounding specific jobs, inventory management, education/training, office staff, advertising, insurances, travel time to and from the customers home and all service vehicle expenses.

The benefit to the customer of such a system is full transparency in the pricing procedure and the ability to make an informed decision by knowing the exact cost of the job ahead of time. There are no hidden fees, no charge for extra time and no charge for additional trips.

Are your repairs guaranteed?

All of our repairs are backed by a ONE YEAR guarantee on parts and labor. For residential machines used in commercial settings, the guarantee is 30 days.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check or credit/debit cards. We will process your card payment on the spot using Square. We do not store your card numbers.

Can you send me a bill?

We do not use an invoicing service so we request that payment is made when the job is complete. To make that as convenient as possible we accept cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards.

Can you quote me a price over the phone?

Diagnosis is something that can only be done in person, and diagnosis is the first step in determining the price of a repair. There are far too many variables to be able to give an accurate diagnosis or price over the phone. We want to be sure we are giving you 100% accurate information and for this reason, it is our policy to only quote a price once one of our technicians has diagnosed your problem in person.

Do you sell new or used appliances?

Although our focus is appliance repair we do sell new appliances as a convenience for our customers who decide not to repair their appliance or if their appliance is beyond repair. We do not sell used appliances.
